Just a random post in a members thread about http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/auto-detailing-university/94267-storing-products.html#post1283268 .
Then I get a PM from the PR Manager of Chaney Instruments.
I liked the small $10 Acurite... But I love this higher tech Acurite
It monitors outside/inside temps, humidity, heat index, dew point and barometric pressure. The display also shows the high & low ranges along with the date, time, moon phase and freeze indicator. You can monitor the three wireless sensors anywhere via smartphone app or PC browser. The weather proof sensors send a RF signal up to 330 ft to the Acurite bridge hooked to your network router.
For the professional detailer you can monitor the conditions in your shop anytime anywhere. You'll know if your heat or ac is operating correctly keeping all the expensive products from freezing or damage from excessive heat or even if a water pipe has busted. In the home you could place a sensor under the house to monitor humidity or even in the attic.

Chaney Instruments said:Hi, I saw your post where you had a photo of your garage equipped with an AcuRite temp/humidity monitor. I actually work for that company, and wanted to learn more about how/why you use it. Presumably, it's helping you keep your truck care products in top condition. I'd love to set you up with a system that can monitor temp/humidity in multiple locations in your garage and home and you can access from a smart phone...
