I'll have to check into one of those stones. Seems like it would be good to have both tools depending on the nap of the fabric you are working on.
Best $7.00 investment I have made. I used to rely solely on my vacuum for pet hair and was getting agitated on every job for how long it took to pull all the hair.
My local supplier (DSI aka Auto Magic) carries these stones and I needed some brushes on the fly one day and picked up the stone to try it out.
Like I said I have found it works wonders for giving that interior a nice look after the last vacuum. When working with cloth I will always go back and run the stone over the back of the seats, through the headliner, all carpets and mats. It leaves that beautiful brushed look with all the fibers going in one direction.
Most will just go back and do the quick vacuum to catch anything that the first vacuum didn't get. (We all know how that is when you thought you vacuumed good. Start spot treating to realize your pulling A LOT of dirt from the carpet fibers).
In short you can run the vacuum in any direction if your in a hurry and just need to grab the extra loose dirt. Than just follow up with the stone in straight lines to give that really nice vacuumed look.
So in reality it kinda has 2 uses. I do feel that running the stone with leather interior is sketchy atleast for me anyways. So I could prob justify buying the brush for the leather interiors I service. The stone is very coarse and I feel it would damage any leather or Alacantra (however you spell it) if you tried running it across the seats (for example).
I would think having both would give you the best of both worlds. I could see myself now with the stone in the left hand and the brush in the right and going to town :dblthumb2:
