Do you guys have any tricks for cleaning the bed of a pick-up?
I looked at the one I'm doing Thursday and it looked like 90% of the stuff could be removed (paint transfers, scuffs, grease). The biggest problem looks like it could be a huge time eater, and pad eater. OR, is it best to wash and forget? Sorry no pics yet.

I too am interested in how people tackle these areas, especially the pro's doing full details.

Jimmie..on a pick up bed....I would just wash it and clean the best I could...no polishing ..just degrease and wash...

AL

Id use a degreaser like Amazing Roll Off, then dress with 303 protectant.

I also just wash my bed (pickup truck bed that is) with soap and water and a litte degreaser if needed using a large brush. I have found that a leaf blower works great for getting the water out of the bed.

Thank you guys.
Al; D&D; Gary I'll do the degreaser and then wash.
Thanks for the leaf blower tip Gary. I'll use that too.

I wouldnt worry about polishing or waxing the bed. Maybe wash and QD it if your feeling saucy.

I was assuming the bed is lined, thats why I said dress it with 303.

if it an unlined bed just wash and rinse...maybe scrub the tough stuff...if its lined be careful about dressing the floor of it...gets very slippery (kind of like the time i used AIO on the bathtub...) ...just dress the side rails...

I am assuming its not lined since he talked about using pads on it.......

But I would be very hesitant to dress my line-x I just spray it with the foam gun and than rinse it out.
