I toyed with the drivers side and passenger fenders today. I've had meguiars M105 and 205 for quite some time. I had troubles with dusting, leaving blobs of crud on the fenders making the use of QD necessary to get it off. 205 is like a dream. Goes on smoothly and finishes SO nicely! SO: I chose to try Meg's on the passenger side fender, MENZ SIP and PO85RD on the drivers fender. FLEX R.O. buffer was used. Dark burgundy pad was used for 105(megs) and beige(megs) was used for 205. I "kind of sort of" primed the pad with a shot of QD and a few dots, then rubbed it in. Slowly spread it around on the pad as it looked very wet and drippy. Once I saw the "haze" I went for it on 6. A bit dusty, but how QUICKLY it corrected!! Wiped it down and smiled just after 105...I was shocked! 205 made it that much deeper gloss. I could be wrong but SIP and PO85RD may not be as glossy as the Meg's.....again, just my view. But: because of the single stage finish? Here are some pics. This is the original finish from 1994 and it looks like it was washed with brillo
Here is how it looked before. This is the door on the passenger side.
105 and 205
Buffed with meg's, notice how FLAT the hood is? no reflection!?
Pretty good using the brinkmann dual xenon light, nice and clear! very few defects.
Drivers side, clearer by a mile!
SIP and 85RD
NOT too shabby!
I'll do the rest of the car another time!

we had a brutal heatwave and I think the nod is going to meguiar's for this one. Dust and all! I was blown away by how effortlessly it produced such rich gloss.
