one owner, 1994 it has a few dings and dents but i think the finish can come back. the interior needs a good cleaning and i'll probably buy some engine cleaner and take care of that too. this is probably going to replace my Yaris. i had a blue hatchback like this one which was a little nicer and probably shouldn't have sold it :)

Will post more pics during the progression.

1. I don't want the payments
2. I always liked the little civic hatchbacks. :) neat little cars. The Yaris has been spot on and regularly gets over 400+ miles out of a tank with a gallon or so to spare.

Ah I see... Thats cool... I like the Civic HB as long as they are not all riced out (ugly body kits dumb lights etc) are you going to mod it? if you do I think these look great lowered with 17s or 18s and a nice mild tint...

To remove dents & dings you might want to consider this:

That civic looks like it has potential.

The engine bay is what stands out to me. It looks unmodified, that's what you want.

Just remember, its a civic, not a ferrari and it will never be one.

Lol... So true! A bit more umph may help but it would be pointless to go with any more than a bit... lol...

Thanks guys! :) this is a one owner car. Little old man owned it, which made me want it INSTANTLY :) My blue one was like this. One owner. These days, cars like this are rare so I jumped on it. Um, it'll get cleaned up...tinted lightly...maybe some rota gt-3 wheels and that's it. The 1/4's are rotted, passenger side has a dent in the door and the 1/4. Not sure what I'll do there but it is a good reliable car that gets excellent fuel mileage . Yes, it is un-modified! it will remain that way.(engine)

I think these are the ugliest cars on the road, but damn do they get good mileage.

I have an idea. Go get a sticker that says, "Stock. The way every civic should be." and place it in your rear window! If i ever get a civic for whatever reason, thats the first thing im going to do. :)

I would love to get a EG Hatch but too bad around here people will race you and the theft rate on these things...

A good, reliable, work horse of a car. Gets good mileage, dependable in summer or winter weather. I have a 89' CRX with 125,000+ miles that's still going. Regular oil changes and preventive maintenance is just about all it takes.

Yeah, the theft rate is pretty alarming. I'm careful where I go. It'll remain stock with the exceptions I had mentioned previously. Going to $$ it now then register it tomorrow. :). On vacation this week ao plenty of time.

My girlfriend has a 99 Civic that isnt modified at all and has 201,xxx miles on it and doesnt have a single issue. Take care of it and it will take care of you. Civics are great cars!

Im sure you can get that one looking clean too.

I'm definitely not worried about this car being un-reliable :). If I didn't screw with my previous one(had an Acura motor put in) it'd have lasted me another five years, easily! :). Thanks for the kind words.

filthy! picked it up yesterday. gave it a quick wash and a thorough interior cleaning.

Nearly every piece of the interior was "tooth brushed" :) it was a filthy mess.

after a very basic wash. i tried a section of the fender with 105 by hand and there's a massive shiny spot now lol!

this car probably hadn't seen any sort of method of cleaning for years. this is just after the wash. i'm on vacation this week so i don't want to beat myself up with a multi stage correction. pretty sure this is going to need(FLEX) SIP-orange, maybe IP-white and nano-white finished with Zaino. oof, my arms are tired just thinking about that LOL, but it'll look good for sure.

I toyed with the drivers side and passenger fenders today. I've had meguiars M105 and 205 for quite some time. I had troubles with dusting, leaving blobs of crud on the fenders making the use of QD necessary to get it off. 205 is like a dream. Goes on smoothly and finishes SO nicely! SO: I chose to try Meg's on the passenger side fender, MENZ SIP and PO85RD on the drivers fender. FLEX R.O. buffer was used. Dark burgundy pad was used for 105(megs) and beige(megs) was used for 205. I "kind of sort of" primed the pad with a shot of QD and a few dots, then rubbed it in. Slowly spread it around on the pad as it looked very wet and drippy. Once I saw the "haze" I went for it on 6. A bit dusty, but how QUICKLY it corrected!! Wiped it down and smiled just after 105...I was shocked! 205 made it that much deeper gloss. I could be wrong but SIP and PO85RD may not be as glossy as the Meg's.....again, just my view. But: because of the single stage finish? Here are some pics. This is the original finish from 1994 and it looks like it was washed with brillo ;)

Here is how it looked before. This is the door on the passenger side.

105 and 205 :)

Buffed with meg's, notice how FLAT the hood is? no reflection!?
PS-clearer.jpg

Pretty good using the brinkmann dual xenon light, nice and clear! very few defects.

Drivers side, clearer by a mile!

SIP and 85RD

NOT too shabby!

I'll do the rest of the car another time! :) we had a brutal heatwave and I think the nod is going to meguiar's for this one. Dust and all! I was blown away by how effortlessly it produced such rich gloss.

I wish I was there to help you out, looks like so much fun.

Having owned 3 Hondas, (95 Civic Coupe, 2000 Civic Coupe) and my 96 Honda Prelude which I have owned since 2003, I can tell you they are very reliable cars. Excellent purchase and good work on the polishing.
