First up the harsh stuff....
Then onto attacking the hood....wetsanded with a couple different grits to get a feel for what the car would need...I settled on 2000 grit ...
.....the right side has already been compounded with wool and 3M rubbing compound on the top half and Diamond Cut 1.0 and an orange pad on the bottom half..and SIP with a foamed wool pad in the middle....always a scary looking pic...
Not bad for a 10 year old hood....especially after how scary the above pic looks...polished out all the compounding haze with 106ff and a white polishing pad...then topped with Megs #16
Next up was the trunk lid....wetsanded down with 2000 grit..followed up with 3000 grit...
This shows the lack of reflection wetsanded paint has
Now all polished up!!! Varying combos of wool/foamed wool/yellow pad/orange pad/3M/SIP/Optimum/Diamond Cut...and of course finished off with 106ff and a white pad....

Now go out and get yourself some sandpaper (hopefully AG will start carrying Uni-Grit)
