Very cool pics Scott! Very impressive. What lens were you using? Also, in the pic where the duck is in the middle of the road, tell me some more on how you achieved your end result. I'm curious, especially the light...

I love those, very nice job, I like the duck and the sunset!

By the way, why does this website now "resize" the pics? Can I turn that off somewhere?

Nice pictures! I just bought my wife a Sony Digital SLR camera and a different lens. She is still trying to figure out all the different settings. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction.
Thanks Ryan

Click the User CP button. Then go to edit options. About halfway down the page there's an option for you to keep photos the original size.

i used my canon rebel xt with canon 70-200mm lens and a 18-55 lens....this picture was takin with the 18-55 ....

shutter speed was 1/250sec
aperture was 8.0

i had a trasmiter on my camera..and one on the flash so we could move it around...we set the flash low to the ground and this is how it turned out

Check out dpreview for good forums on all types of digital slr's. The only problem that I see with the Sony choice is that you are limited in your choice of nice glass to use with your camera. Their is a reason that most of the pros use Canon and Nikon and its strictly the lenses. Just get your wife out shooting with the camera and she will see what works and what doesn't. Its not like your shooting film, deleting is free.

Pat.
