Pictures: Colorado Roadshow Class- Denver Auto Shield

Fantastic pictures Mike. :props:

As great as the documentation is of these classes, there is sooo much more that goes on. Nice work team, I bet it was a fun filled weekend full of learning. :buffing:

Thanks Aaryn!

Just landed in Atlanta- have about an hour before my next flight so I’ll add a few more pics.

Here’s my favorites

Red, White & Blue! Didn’t try to get these colors, just worked that way.

At the time I took these pictures it was the end of the first day. The class detailed 4 cars (plus they did tons of other detailing procedures).

I had a ton fun. I would recommend this to anyone at any level.

One big surprise I got from this class, was Gyeon compound. It was fantastic on the black Audi we did. It pulled defects very easily, and finished darn near LSP ready.

Oh. and a new love for the ease of a cordless polisher.

Great class.

Thanks again Mike

Thank you for taking the class Billy!

I LOVE having active forum members take any of our classes!

One thing for sure, you know first hand just how hands-on our classes are as you lived through one!

And thank you for helping me to pack-up! That by itself with the volume of tools, pads, towels and products is a daunting task AFTER a 2-day class.

Is it necessary to cover painted surfaces when cleaning the glass?

MORE!

Before starting the RUPES Detailing Academy Class I explained to the class that RUPES is NOT a tool, it's a SYSTEM. This involved the tools, the pads and their products.

Here's one of my articles talks about how and why RUPES is a system, not a tool.

The Air Test - Using NON RUPES pads on RUPES Polishers by Mike Phillips

And at ALL my classes I demonstrate what I talk about in the above article by having the students experience the vibration in the tool with no pad and then how SMOOTH to tool gets WITH a RUPES pad attached.

First everyone holds the tool on the 6 speed setting in the air - (The Air Test)

Of course it's best done without gloves on but this was a SUPER SAFE class.

Air-Test_Colorado_01.JPG

When holding the RUPES BigFoot 21 or the 15 in the air with the tool set to high speed WITHOUT a pad, you can easily feel the tool vibrating.

And then they hold the tool in the air with a matching RUPES pad.

When holding the RUPES BigFoot 21 or the 15 in the air with the tool set to high speed WITH a RUPES matching pad --- it's a smooth as can be!

And after experiencing first-hand how important it and what a huge factor it is to use pads that are MATCHED to the backing plate and the tool, well.... I'm vindicated yet again.

Mike,

I really enjoyed getting to try the various brands of polishers. I also liked your common sense style of teaching and will recommend this class to car nerds like me!

I am just starting my detail business and the Rupes color coded system is my choice.

Thank you for teaching us so much via this hands-on class.

Hey Michael. It was really great to meet you. Glad you made it here. I still feel guilty that Michelle did the towels :)

Hey Mike,

Just got the swag box! This is cool stuff.

Thank you, Michael Sackett, Denver Auto shield alum.
