Hey guys I have been meaning to post these for a while, I know Meghan has asked a couple of times for some pics, so here are a few pics of life offshore.

Pics of the supply boat and the basket we use to get off and on the platform if we can't use the helicopter, we actaully hang on to the outside of the net and the crane lift us up well over a 100ft from the water and then places us on the platform, this is not for everyone freaked me out the first time, oh and we have done this before with 40 mph winds and rain, not fun.

And here are a few pictures were the first steps in oil production process takes place.

Here is were the oil is constantly flowing out of the ground into pipeline going to our big production platform next door.

I wish I could take better ones, but like I said we really are not supposed to take pictures outside, so I just snap them off real quick when no ones looking, all the pictures are random from 4 differernt platforms I work.

What kind of engine was in that Crane? I know yall have to have some big diesels on that rig!!!

:iagree: and some Pinnacle souveran paste wax to make that yellow pop!:D Or maybe a sealant for longer lasting protection from the salt.

Cool pictures BTW. It doesnt look as bad as being on a small ship but still pretty confined. How long do you usually stay out there for at a time? I bet you make good money doing that. Are you guys allowed to fish during your breaks or is there no time for that? Is it pretty much a work/sleep/eat/work/sleep/eat routine? Sorry about all the questions but its very interesting IMO.
 
Detroits always have a reputation for that famous sound they make. It's music until the sound you hear is nothing, b/c the DD died on ya lol

I'm telling ya man pick up fishing as a hobby you have a great spot lol. Pretty cool working on a rig.
 
Thanks for sharing the pics.

My friends brother-in-law is a medic on a rig in the Middle East. He told us about a couple of accidents he encountered. PLEASE, be careful.
