I had a chance to do a 2-step and LSP a week ago (6/25). My go-to sealant in 2018 has been PBL Sealant. I’ve applied to a 2018 Blue Equinox, a 2016 Black Audi, and now my old silver Acura. It wins in all categories... looks, durability, beading, ease of use, and it spreads really well.

Wash: N-914 RW

Decon:
Blackfire clay mitt (sides and bottoms)/Pinnacle poly clay (verticals). N-914 clay lube (WW dilution).
-No Iron Remover used, but was last done in April.

Polish:
Mckees 37 Fast Compound; orange 5.5”/3.5” LC Force Hybrid pads (yellow occasionally where needed)
Mckees 37 Fast Polish; white 5.5”/3.5” LC Force Hybrid pads

LSP:
2 coats PBL Diamond Paint Sealant, 12 hours apart.
24+ hours before any moisture on the final coat.

Below are after pictures. I forgot to take before pics but the car had a years worth of swirls, with me touching it with either waterless, Rinseless, QD or two bucket wash 1-2 times per week during this time frame. Not horrible, but noticeable to my eye.

I also was able to get some beading shots 2 days later:

Thanks for looking!

And if anyone knows an easy way to rotate pictures after they’ve been initially uploaded to autopia, please don’t hesitate to educate!

I have a silver car and your Acura looks awesome!
I have only used PBL Sealant one time. Do you think the second coat makes a difference? If so I’ll give it a try.

So, I did only one coat on the blue Equinox, which I don’t get to see often (belongs to my mom). I’ve done 2 coats on this car and the wife’s Audi and both came out great. Therefore I can only say that two coats looks great on both my cars. Might be worth a try.

I definitely will give it a try. I have plenty of product and time.
Thanks

I noticed today (a week and a half later) the metallic flake sparkles in the sun... and the car has been through massive rainstorms the last few days, so it’s not like it’s perfectly clean. But I do also admire the self-cleaning of this sealant. Either way, I swear the finish looks better now than the first few days after application.
