Here are the instructions:

Ensure surface is cool to the touch and out of direct sunlight.
Polish the glass first using Black Label Surface Cleansing Polish.
Spray Diamond Glass Coating directly onto the surface and evenly distribute using a Lake Country Coating Applicator.
Allow product to set up for 1 minute then lightly buff with a clean, soft, lint-free microfiber towel. Do not apply any pressure to the towel while performing this step.
Do not expose glass to moisture for 12 hours.

My question is, do i need to use the cleansing polish or can i just clean the windshield well with stoners glass cleaner then clay it?

Thanks,

Ryan

If I'm correct I believe that the cleansing polish is to make sure the surface is ready for the coating. Almost like how people use the eraser for coatings. If not i don't think of will adhere properly.

I would actually use DP Glass Restorer First, the do the coating. But the prep polish is good too. Cleaning with stoners and clay is not good enough IMO. You want the best base possible for coatings.

ok thank you, Is there any other use for the prep polish? Like on the paint or anything? It's going on my 06 impala that has the original Chevy windshield

EDIT: I read up on the black label cleansing polish. From what i understand it is like a 1 step to clean the paint? Would that mean i don't require claying?

If i wanted to put on a paint sealant. I could just use cleansing polish then add the sealant?

You need to clay before polishing anytime. It's not a one step its just a cleaner, nothing more. Leaves the paint clean. It can be used on most any car surface.

So if i already have a sealant i can use the cleaner on top and it shuoldn't affect it?
