So I have found the hard way (I.E. scratching my bumper..which was quickly polished out) that to use the pinnacle bug sponge you have to soften them in warm/hot water. I find that a real pain because when i go mobile i dont always have hot water on hand. Any other bug sponges out there that are easier to work with.

Mine will soften up in tap water, biu it takes 30+ minutes. I just make sure to get it soaking before i do anything else, and by the time I finish the wheels, tires & wash its usually ready to go

I toss it in my bucket as soon as I fill it, I usually do the wheels first which gives it plenty of time to soften up. Never has an issue with scratching.

I toss mine in the wash bucket when I'm filling it. By the time I go to use it it is plenty soft.

I have yet to use mine. Thanks for the tip on pre-soaking. There is some bird in our area that must excrete concrete. It took forever to get off. PB's Bug Squash full strength did help but really wanted to get out the clay.

I soak mine in my wash bucket, but right now my wash buckets are filled with warm water (due to it's getting cold outside).

I have cut mine in half.....the long way........so it's only 1" thick. It's alot easier to handle and get into the tight little spots bugs get. And I do the soak also.....I like mine and have now issues with it.

I learn to get away from bug sponge. Maybe you can try soaking warm water towel with car soap and leaving on front end of car and save as last part of wash.

Every Spring I go out and buy a Gallon of the Pink Bug Juice and then fill up a Spray Bottle with it.

Every Service Station or Parts Store carries their own Line of Pink Bug Juice to be used in the Windshield Washer Reservior.

I pre-soak all my Bugs with Bug Juice... and then when it comes time to scub them off, it's really easy to do.

The Bug Juice is a whole lot cheaper than buying the specialty Bug Guts Remover Products out there.

I spray Opti Clean or Ultima WW+ on the bugs, let dwell a few minutes. When I come back from working on something else, they wipe off, but my LSP doesnt! Havent used my bug sponge in a while.
