So, I have a 2008 Crystal Red Metallic Chevy Corvette. I'm looking for the wow factor that makes you forget where you are when you look at the car. My thought was to use Wolfgang DGPS and then top it with Pinnacle Signature Series II. I've heard great things about SSII on metallic paint. Are their any other suggestions I should consider? What about just doing two coats of DGPS? I've also read that DGPS has come as close as you can to obtaining that deep glow like carnauba.

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks!!

This is a great combo however you could try doubling up on the sealant 12 hours apart then topping with Pinnacle Signature Series wax..

Thanks for the welcome Bobby! I might just try out your suggestion and see how it goes. I know too much layering can be a bad thing, but it's worth a try for the first round.

I have been using DGPS on my car since late fall, and with winter decided to not bother with a wax topper. Then spring came, and we have so much pollen here I thought I'd wait a bit longer.

So last weekend I decided what the heck, I'll just dust more often, it's time to wax :D

Put SSII on top of the 2 or 3 layers of DGPS that's on the car. It already looked great, and I wasn't expecting to see a huge difference. And I don't see a huge difference, but it is definitely there - that wetter, deeper wax glow.

And surprise of surprises....it seems like the pollen isn't sticking as much to the SSII as it was to the DGPS. I found that really odd, but it's been that way for 3 weeks now!

Here's a few shots after a weekend day trip (about 175 miles) to see a few covered bridges:

Killed my share of bugs:

A quick wash, and they're gone!

These were taken about 3 weeks and 2 foam gun/2 bucket washes (and multiple wipedowns with FK425, which has been used all along, even before the SSII) since the SSII was applied.
