How is this is comparison to others? The 2 bars for 34.99 seem to be a good price.
I'm accustomed to picking up the mothers clay bar kit but it just seems more cost effective to purchase more clay and ONR for lube instead of buying the kits with quick detailer all the time

I bought it and IMO seems a little soft. I think I rather stay with mothers or Megs. Just my opinion.

It is a little less agressive then the mothers. Also seems to marr less on softer paints than some other clays.

Hmm...im choosing no on this clay than. I like the Mothers alot and I wouldn't want to go any less aggressive.
Basically just looking to find a clay that's roughly right around the same and buy some ONR. I'd rather have more versatile products in my arsenal

I've never tried it. Been pretty happy using Griot's or Meguiar's.

:props:

I've tried several of the brands out there and now use the Pinnicle clay exclusively. I don't have the need for the more aggresive clays as my car is fairly new and well kept in a garage so the Pinnicle fills the bill for me. If a car is in bad need of heavy duty clay I would reach for medium duty Clay Magic.

I started on the Megs OTC Smooth Finish kit and it did a great job on my first ever claying. The car was 7 years old and probably never even waxed, and the grunge came off to show a metal flake I didn't even know it had. LOL

I used it twice more before getting some Pinnacle clay, which is less aggressive, but I already did all my cars with the Megs and kept them waxed, so I don't really need an aggressive cleaning.

I also bought some cheap clay on Ebay (three bar set - medium/fine /extra fine) and after doing one car with it it seems okay. No problems.

I can't say for sure, since I haven't actually used it yet though I bought some on the big sale a few weeks ago, but the XMT speed clay looked like it was a similar grade to the Mother's/Meg's so I picked up a bar of it. For about the same price it's slightly more than the amount of clay in the Mother's kit but without the QD.

Definitely softer than the mothers or Megs kit. May want to give the DP clay a try. I found that it's pretty similar to the mothers and megs.

Ended up choosing the meguiars smooth surface clay replacement pack. 3 50gram bars for 18.99.
Also purchased a 128oz ONR so I'll be using it for my lubricant
