Pinnacle WW with Carnauba over clear bra?

Hello,

Does anyone know if putting the waterless wash on a clear bra is OK? I thought I read that wax on the bra will cause it to yellow. But then I read that the film now is better and the wax does not matter.

From what I have heard and read, it is actually the glue under the clear bra that turns yellow over time

I don't like Pinnacle WW w/ Carnauba...too much buffing and smears on glass

Since I was foolish and did not ask this question before I bought Pinnacle, I guess I have to live with it.

I can live with the buffing....but based on your remarks, I will not put it on glass--thanks
 
The majority of clear bra (Paint Protection Film---PPF) manufacturers do not recommend carnauba wax for their PPF: Sealants are the preferred product.

•I use either of these Sealants on mine:
-XPel's Flawless Finish Paint Protection Film Sealant; or:
-Premier's PF-1 Crystalline Sealant

Any addl insight as to why no Carnauba?

Is it the yellowish color of the carnauba itself or maybe the solvents in it?
 
Umm. I use it all the time on my CB. No yellow. My guess is there is 0.0000001% carnauba in Pinnacle WW. IMHO, it's one of the best WWs available.

Long story short: it will not turn your clear bra yellow.
 
The bra is XPEL on the front(had a installer do it) and then I put 3M PRO on the rest(rocker, door,splash guard area for both front and back tire, and top of bumper)

I guess I can just use soap and water for the covered parts and the WW for the rest....

In the spring, I am interested in sealing the whole car with something....(another question for the future)

This from the X-Pel website, FAQs:

Can I wax the film when I wax the rest of the car?"

Unlike most paint protection films on the market, XPEL ULTIMATE Paint Protection film can be waxed and sealed just like your paint. Though XPEL Flawless Finish Paint Protection Film Sealant is still the preferred product, Any automotive wax or sealant may be used.
