New to the forums. Just joined yesterday as a matter of fact. I've been into detailing cars for some time now, but only now have gotten somewhat serious into it. I'm used to using the typical OTC stuff like Meguire's and Mother's, but I try to use their better products so to say.

Here's a few before and after pics of my bucket.

Before:

I've also been doing much research and am deciding to switch over to either Pinnacle or Menzerna when the wallet allows it. Paying out of pocket for college isn't cheap!

and after:

It could be the angle of the shot thatt the tires don't shine a whole lot. Not sure though.

'Preciate it thoguh man. It was all done by hand. I need a PC, I know...

Yellow like alot of the lighter colors is very susceptible to road contamination. I would wager that a good claying and a coat of wax would give that yellow a nice amount of pop before you ahving to move onto polishes.

I agree that claying your paint would probably shock you to see what comes off what you think is a clean surface. Polishing your paint, Menzerna is my choise, with at least a PC would do wonders to bringing out the shine in your yellow Stang. Followed by a quality sealent and/or nuba would knock your socks off. Good luck with whatever you decide, and don't forget pictures.
And of course, wellcome to our forum.

I clay my car ever 6 months. I use the Mothers California Gold kit and it's always worked just fine for me. I follow that up with a few OTC polishes and Mother's cleaner carnauba wax then with the Meguires NXT Wax.

Better shots after a full clay etc.

:iagree::whs: There is your answer and solution, that car and its paint should be stunning with the above recommendations, I have done several Yellows and prepped and done correctly they can almost blind ya with the depth and clarity of the shine !!
Also, Ship the PC, go with the Flex, but if money is an issue the PC is still a good choice, go with 5.5 pads and 4" inch pads too.

By the way, Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax 2.0 Liquid is a fantastic wax at any price range. :righton:
