Plasma TV cleaning

I sure wouldn't want to take the chance of damaging the screen on my Plasma--can't be replaced these days.

My owners manual instructs to clean the screen with a very mild solution of dish washing liquid --- 100 to 1-- with a soft, lint free cloth, then dry with a similar soft, lint free cloth.

I bought a kit made by MONSTER and it works great, it is specifically made for cleaning TV screens.

Ok so this is somewhat detail related. I have noticed that my TV seems to get dusty pretty often and it being the same level as my 2 year old twins it pretty much has finger prints all the time. Is there a product that will repel dust and make it easier to clean? This is a plasma if that makes a difference.

Didnt read entire thread...

Just curious what plasma do you have? I have a Panasonic 60" VT60 3D. Plasma was the best you could buy for a display until OLED came out.

Anyway, only use water and mild soap. Do not use anything else. Owners manual mentions this and I've heard horror stories on HiDefJunkies and AVSForum from people that use chemicals to clean them. Not advisable!

I don't agree with either of those methods. I personally have a problem with water and electronics. My product of choice is Ecomoist. It doesn't have any harsh chemicals or alcohols. I particularly like how it is anti-static and hypoallergenic. I definitely recommend it for next time you clean your tv. I embedded a link to the product so you can see what I am talking about.

Lol you don't agree with water and electronics but you'll spray a liquid on it....

Yep... :iagree: ...that is a strange set of circumstances.

Ecomoist Ingredients:
-aqua (water);
-sodium lauryl sulphate (cleaning agent);
-sodium gluconate (water softener);
-citric acid.
