I need advice on how to get bugs off of plastic bumpers. I've had a few detail jobs that have had bugs plastered to the front bumper that won't come off. They have been plastered on the bumper for at least two years and numerous automatic car washes. I've tried liquid and paste bug and tar removers, rubbing compounds and cleaner waxes. Nothing will take the bugs off. HELP

Sounds to me that if you have done all that you say they are etched into the clear. I will defer to one with more experience but I think you need to go with a good machine polish and finish with a quality wax/sealant after the wash/clay process. Do a search here for bug stuff though most tackle the issue quick vs 2 years.

I agree

Don't you hate that!!! Stubborn bugs... Arrrggghhhh.

Do just like do already have with cleaners during wash. A bug and tar remover, the bug and tar sponge (soaked of course).
After all that CLAY, and after that polish.

... and don't be depressed when some of them just WON'T come out. If they are etched into the clear from years of eating away at the paint, it's likely you're not going to get them out.

I agree with all the above

Search for a bumper repair person. They will reshoot your bumper for less then $200 in most cases

Is it possible to get etching onto the clear after a week? I have two spots on my car that I clayed and clayed and I swear etched and am left to wet sanding as a last resort...
