I have a friend with a 2003 Mustang. His plastic headlight lenses look terrible. They look very milky and foggy. is there anyway of cleaning these up, or does he have to buy new ones ?

Thanks in advance

Look at the search results CEE DOG posted. You can probably get them to like new condition. There are ton's of options, all posted in those search results.

Personally, I have only used the 3M kit, and like it very well. (Aside from just polishing lights that aren't as bad out).

I would wet sand with 320, 600, 1000, 1500, and 2000 then Compound, Polish, and Seal

Wolfgang and Diamonite have kits as well as Megs and 3M I believe. I use Plexus or DP Plex All on headlamps/taillamps since new to avoid this. Money well spent !

I like to use the Diamondite products for polishing out headlight lenses. Clear Plastic Restorer, Clear Plastic Enhancer & Clear Plastic Liquid Armor. These are the best products that I have tried.

If you want to professionally restore your plastic headlights I suggest you use LTBL's Vehicle Plastic Lens Restoration Kit. It fully restores your headlights with a UV protectant that lasts for years. The retail kit allows you restore up to 3 vehicles (that's six lights). You can order it at
