I got my first customer that went with my platinum package detail which involves a 3 step polishing process. The truck gets used at truck pulls and seems like a pretty damn fast truck. The interior was pretty well kept up, just had a few stains. The exterior was in rough shape. He said he clayed it but I pulled off a lot of contamination. The paint also needed some help. He said he did a glaze by hand to polish which also led me to believe we had different definitions of polishing. He also said he used a 3M Scotch Brite pad on the running boards. As you can see in the pictures below it did a number on them. He said to not worry about them but I couldn't put that much time into the paint only to leave the boards looking like hell so I gave them a quick polish and brought a little shine back to them. The paint is pretty damn close to perfect minus the scratches that would require them to be wet sanded. Enjoy

Nice work on the pull truck. What was the owners reaction?

Where is the product list?

Thanks. I was expecting a little more enthusiasm but maybe he just has a laid back personality.

Sorry I didn't list the products. I smoked a pork shoulder for 6 hours so by the end of the day I was whipped.

For the products used:
-Washed with CG Wash and Gloss at stripping ration
-Tires, wheel wells, and engine bay were cleaned with Megs Super Degreaser
-Rims were cleaned with Megs Wheel Brightner
-Used the Speedy Prep medium grade towel
-Car was polished with Flex 3401 with Menz FG400 on a FPW pad, then Menz PF2500 on an orange pad started at 6 then to 4, and finished with Menz SF4500 on a gray finishing pad
-Wipe down with IPA solution
-Sealed with Menz PL
-Interior was cleaned with Megs APC+ at 10:1
-Carpets were cleaned with CG Fabric Clean
-Interior dressed with Car Pro PERL
-Interior windows were hit with Megs Window Cleaner
-Exterior windows got Pinnacle Glass Cleaner with Water Repellent
-Engine bay was dressed with PB BnB and Megs Plastic and Vinyl coating
-Tires were hit with PB Bnb
-Wheel wells got CG Bare Bones
-Final wipe down was with FK425

I think that is all

Go buckeyes

O-H!

Love the color of that truck!!

It is definitely a pretty color when done right.

Great turnaround. Keep up the good work!

Thanks!

Wow Great job! I'm gonna be doing a full size truck soon. I'm curious on how many hours do you have in a job that size and how much did you charge?

This truck took me around 12 hours total time. The interior saved me about an hour with the condition that it arrive in. I charged $270 for the detail.

Awesome job. That owner got a great deal if that's all you charged him.
