Please compare MOHS and CQuartz UK 3.0

With Dlux, I’ve never read about it rainbowing. You want to remove quickly within 1 to 2 min at that temperature per CarPro.

Interesting. I’ve definitely gotten a little bit rainbow’ing. Thanks for clearing that up.

Safe to put on a second coat 24 hours after the first? Or did I miss the window?

I know you need to wait an hour. I don’t think 24-48 will hurt if wheels got dusty dirty you are not suppose to wash for 3 days.

If they need a cleaning I would wait 3 days and then clean, eraser, add a coat.

To be percent sure I would email car pros.

Yeah I brought them inside so they won't get dirty. Shot them an email.

Thank you.

Yes…. You wait for it to rainbow. I waited till 30seconds after it rainbow’d to remove.

I do the same with CQUK. Depending on the weather conditions I'll sometimes lightly swipe my finger across the surface an area that has rainbow flashed. If if swipes off cleanly I'll start the removal process, if it smears, I'll give it another minute or so. With the slow flash of CQUK I've learned to be patient to avoid smearing/spreading issues during removal.

Getting back to the overall theme regarding the differences between CQUK and MOHS EVO, I learned a new difference between the two this weekend.

When applied to wheels MOHS EVO is SIGNIFICANLTY slicker than CQUK 3.0. I've applied CQUK to several sets of wheel and didn't really notice any difference in feel of the wheel. With an application of MOHS EVO on my current OEM factory wheels, they are slick to the point of being almost slippery...even several weeks after the application.

Normally, I wouldn't care on most vehicles as I don't pay attention to slickness. However, I frequently swap my wheels from the daily/OEM wheels to a dedicated autocross set before/after each event. MOHS EVO is on my daily wheels and I have to make sure I have a good grip on them when mounting/dismounting because they are pretty slick now. Wearing a pair of light mechanics gloves helps out a lot, but if you are using your bare hands, watch out and hang on tight!
