Well guys, my curiosity (well, boredom) got the best of me. I had some stuff I wanted to play with and I didn't have time, or daylight, to work on my car.

So I took the buffer to my license plate... Sorry I do not have any before pics, but it was really dull, kinda scratched, lot of built up grime on it.

Process:

Washed with APC+
3M Fine Cut Compound for Dark Cars with PC
XMT360 with PC
#845 by hand.

Tell me I'm not crazy and someone else has done this hahahaha

I do it all the time, but include the paint. BTW those plates look like you poured oil on it. Good job.

Man that loosk great. I wax mine but that is about as far as I go

nice license plate :) . i was just at the DARE warehouse and bought some t-shirts, etc (i like to support these kind of causes, i've known many people who have gotten real screwed up by drugs). i think that's great you support anti-drug/violence!

p.s. if you haven't checked out the site, go to... darecatalog.com

I have never buffed a license plate, but known to detail a rental car or eight !!

OK... I wont tell you...:D:D

Like the others, I do wax it. :buffing:

No... i never polished it or spray few clear coats on my plate....

:buffing:

I have to admit I haven't but I have my plate sealed nicely in a Weathertech Frame so it stays nice and clean. I do clean the clear cover of the frame all the time with DP Plex All though.

Nice job on the license plate, I'm curious how it looked before-hand.

If it makes you feel better, I've thought about a nice deep clean on my license plates as well.

Never done a license plate, but I have been known to use use KAIO and a few other products to clean up drums, cymbals, and hardware. Reminds me I need to pack a bottle for this next tour (didn't bring it to Europe)...

Luckily, both of the tags I have on my vehicles are no more than two years old. Both of them have had regular applications of sealant on them since they were new and they still look brand new. One has a cover over it.

I would definitely polish them if they needed it.

I fall into this catagory too.
