Please help friends: Corvette Grandsport Question!

Could not be forced to drive a Ferrari myself so with me it falls on deaf ears. Also depends on the Corvette but I dont care if its a real L88 the way some folks carry themselves is absurd. Now with that said Cobra :Picture:please lol.

42 days until Spring.... WOOOOO! Then I get to take the hibernating Shelby BEASTallion out of the garage - that's right, you heard it here first, I coined the word "BEASTallion!" Haha :)

I'm getting custom emblems made by Steve Smart over at Billet Badges this summer for 2013, been trying to figure out what to get on them?

Anyway, thanks for following along - personally, I've only ever met 2 Ferrari owners, and thus far at least, they were both normal for the most part.

Can't wait to pull the pretty little young lady out of the garage this spring though :) Did I post any images of her on the forum yet? I thought I did... but I cannot remember at all! Grrr

Good lessons learned...

One of the things I share with people is sometimes you have to know when to let someone else have the blessing... that is turn a job down and let some other detailer have the work.

Most important lesson is no quotes until you see the project whatever it might be.

I'm never surprised when a person makes a big deal out of the little things, (the wheels), when the paint is a swirl-out mess. The thing is most people, even Corvette owners don't know the difference between a squirrel and a swirl...

The difference between a swirl and squirrel

Mike Legendary Shine PHLEX PHILLIPS! Always a good day when you drop in any of my threads, thanks! :)

Oh my, my, my... you are right about letting other people 'have the 'blessing!''' Bleh. What a fantastic way to chalk it up to learning though, at least the slight silver lining is I did get paid, to learn the lesson, even if remuneration wasn't what it should have been.

Cheesh, looking back on the project from last week, what a silly joke. Freezing our tooshies off, being watched like we we were doing some PI work in Prion Break by Bellick and the Warden (haha, I like watching older TV shows a few years after they come out, so I don't have to wait for the next season/week to quench my anticipation).

I'm tweaking my VIF, (Vehicle Inspection Form), and when I get it done maybe shoot me a PM to get a copy and see if it helps you.

The biggest change I'm making has to do with the number of steps to be done for the exterior detail so your customer is on the same page as you are when it comes to what they get and what they are willing to pay for.

Time is money and removing swirl requires time no matter what tool, pad or compound you use.

:)

I would LOVE to leverage your amazing unparalleled expertise and have a copy of your updated VIF's! YES PLEASE

By the way, for someone with much, much less than your level of overall experience, how much should I be charging for detailing higher end vehicles/exotics/imports with one assistant, averaged out to include supplies, labor, and talent + travel, per hour?

PS: I remember having the swirl/squirrel talk a SEMA in Vegas. Awesome :)

It was a female owner giving you a hard time? Did she like woman's basketball by any chance?

It was a female owner... as far as the WNBA, haha, not that I know, it never came up in conversation - why? I can't tell if that's a gay joke, or if you think you know the owner of the car haha, either way, after her first 7 words, my eyes glazed over, as I fought the elements and frostbite!
