First off I would like to say thank you for this forum. Ive done allot of reading yet still stay confused. I would like to ask your help with getting the paint on my car to look better than the 3foot paint. The front of the car has about 10,000 chips so aside from a repaint, I am out of ideas. Possibly something that has a black base to hide them? Here are a few pics of my car, sorry none are very close. There is no wax or polish on the car in these pics. It seems that the car whether waxed or not is just not...crisp? I also have massive water spots to include on the glass. Could you advise on what to possible try. The wax I normally use is Maguires in a tan bottle. I think its #6 cleaner wax but I wont know until I get home this evening. I apologize if this in in the wrong area or against the posting rules. Thank you for looking.

Nice ride...

Those chips can be solved with the Lanka paint chip kit, iv got it, but i have not tryed it yet..

LANGKA Complete Paint Chip Repair Kit: Repair scratches on your car without a professional paint job! touch-up paint, scratch repair kit, chip repair,

Its also been stated here before that the vettes got a pretty hard clearcoate regarding swirl removal. i dont know if you are trying removing swirls/got them or just want the car looking its best (in the state it is)

Im personaly a Duragloss addict, and would say:

Well first washing an claying, then
DG 101 to clean the paint up (yes its a WOW product;)
DG 105 to ad some protection (let it cure 24h)
The Killrs special....:) the Pinnacle souveran wax
and the Pinnacle souveran spray QDer after the weekly washings.

That should make both you and your car shine like the sun...he he

killrwheels also made a great post on the C6...

And welcome to the AGol....

Give your nearest Corvette dealer (parts dept.) a call. They can help you order the original color touch up paint. That combined with what Truls said you should be able to make your Vette look better than new.

Thanks!! What is a WOW product though?

Its just what you say when wiping it off....WOW product = better than good in my book....

Being a black vette owner myself, i would get the Langka paint kit, menzerna polishes and souveran wax to bring you black to outstanding results.

Damn that thing is low! Very nice ride, how much power is it making

No wax or polish and 10,000 chips on the front, give me a break!!!

Nope none. As I said, it has a great paint from 3 feet away. The nose, hood, and headlight doors appear as if they have been sand blasted. Get any vette owner that drives his car daily and he will know what i mean. :buffing::buffing:

I notice that you are from Houston. I am in League City and would be glad to help you out with polishing the car. (I have a pc, udm, and rotary) If you would like help just shoot me a pm.
