Hello everyone,

Long time lurker here, and even longer time detailer. I ran out of some of the products I usually use, so have some questions that maybe someone can address:

1. I have a white Porsche that I treat with Swissvax (Cleaner Fluid and Zuffenhausen). What great carnauba based quick detailer do you recommend to top off the carnauba based Zuffenhausen?
2. I also have three other white cars, that I drive more frequently than the Porsche (Chevy Suburban, VW, and an old classic Peugeot that has been recently repainted) and would like to treat them with something not as expensive as Swissvax, (but could be close) and not necessarily carnauba based (but could also be carnauba). I have previously used the Werkstat system on them, and was extremely happy, but it seems they went out of business. My Werkstat stock is gone. What system do you recommend I use on those three cars?

Thanks!!

Welcome! Nice collection of cars you have!

1. Try Optimum spray wax.

2. Try Pinnacle liquid wax or paste wax.

Out of the ones I have used over the last several years, Pinnacle Waterless Wash + Carnauba fits the bill here better than anything else I have in mind (Optimum, Wolfgang, Sonax, Blackfire, etc...).

To maintain Swissvax I'd say pick a waterless wash or rinseless product. My favs are Ultima Waterless Wash+ Concentrate or Optimum No-Rinse. Putting another carnauba over swissvax seems an expensive paradox to me but to each his own.

1. Sonax BSD gets good reviews, not sure if it's carnauba though

2. The Werkstat system has been sort-of replaced by the Carlack system. There are differences but you should be able to find substitute products. Look here: http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/blog/2014/11/introducing-the-carlack-range/

For a cost-effective method of protecting three cars you could use Autoglym SRP and Collinite 845 - I use this combination and find it very effective

I think BSD is more of a sealant but it provides crazy beading that has a little staying power ,I like it although its not going to give you that slick feeling . When I used QD's I liked Wolfgang Instant Detail spritz or Pinnacle Souveran Spray Wax . Iron X might be something you could look into for all those White cars , it really makes thing Brighter in my little experience with it .

Thanks for all your comments. I finally decided to get the Klasse twins + Collinite 845. Will let you know how it turns out.
