I received a PM from a forum member. I don’t mind receiving PM’s but sometimes I don’t respond to fast as I’m not on here all the time.

Mike Phillips used to do this to help out the forum member as well. It allows for other forum members to help each other out.

I just did my first coating using Gyeon one what soap should I use Gyeon reset or Gyeon bathe thanks

First off congratulations on applying your first coating. This is a big step starting off with a beginner option like Gyeon One. Applying a coating these days is not as intimidating as it once was.

Now the maintenance part comes into play to make sure your hard works pays off.

If one desires to stay within the Gyeon line up then Bathe is an excellent choice. It’s a very nice shampoo that has good lubricity and does a good job cleaning.

Having Gyeon Restart is good to have on hand as it helps to do a decontamination wash on the coating every few months. Having that extra cleaning power and some iron removing capabilities will extend the coatings life and keep the hydrophobic behavior strong. I’m assuming Kawasaki meant Restart rather than CarPro Reset.

I would also recommend using the Gyeon Ceramic Detailer as a maintenance product to maintain the coating. It can be used every wash or every other wash. Personal preference.

Hey Mike!

Your post just reminded me...........

One of the kids that "details" at my dealership picks my brain occasionally on stuff.

He asked me the other day if a shampoo made for a coating (like Bathe) would work well on a non-coated surface.

I told him that I didn't see why it wouldn't, but what say you?

Bathe will work just fine. It is not a strong wash. Certain ones will degrade a wax or sealant.
