Well, I've done a few custom cars where I removed all the Orange Peeling and did it by hand sanding. I have another one coming up and I'm really not looking forward to doing another one by hand. I'm looking to purchase a high quality pneumatic sander and just curious on what other's use and their opinion of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I own a Dynabrade and we carry the 3M units in our store. After using both I would pick the 3M

Here's some threads on them...

Can an air-powered DA Sander be used to polish paint?

I don't think you can really go wrong with a DA from 3M, Dynabrade, Hutchins, Chicago Pneumatic, or Ingersoll Rand... it all comes down to your preference.

I have a snap on da and its very nice. The 3m one is also very nice as well that Mike suggested and for the price you can't go wrong with it. Also keep in mind the porter cables make great sanders as well, but there electric.

I will throw in a vote for the 3M unit. I love mine and have had it for many years.

Well, it seems like 3M is the way to go. Thanks everyone for your inputs. I'll be placing my order within the next couple of days.
