Was just wondering what method as far as rotary or da and what pad everyone thinks works best for applying po85rd and the same question for 845, was wondering what pad everyone thinks works best or just anyones personal preference.

I prefer to use buff and shine black pads for both of these.

Have no experience yet with po85rd, bit I use white pads for applying the 845.

845 works fine with any finishing pad. I like red and blue for 845 personally.

Remember to apply it thin!

Red Hydro LC pad was my first testing with 845.
Worked nice. 845 when warmed up ( if you use this method ) and a sprayer head mounted on the bottle, nice spray prime to the red Hydro pad, and off you go.

This is considering that the polish and Glaze ( if you go that route ) have already done their job, all you need is a thin coat.

I used the PC with the Hydro pad to apply on either a 2 or 2.5 setting.

Just got my PO85rd today, so I cannot comment. I would think Black ( that is what I am going with ) It is very low abrasive so any amount of work would need to be via the pad.
I have used 106 on the Opti Polish pads with good results.

I tested the top end of working SIP / 106 on Opti MF pads on solid surface counter material.

I used a screw driver to put marks in the sink cutouts, to see what it would do on something like this. Other half of the sink cutout is going to be Opti Hyper combo on Opti MF pads to get a compare.

White ( if LC white pad ) is a big aggressive for applying wax in my opinion.

Black pads are the only ones I've used with 85rd and that combo worked very well.

So a good speed would be about 3 on the porter cable with a black pad?

Lake Country pads? If so, flat, CCS? If not, what brand and type.

Thanks

Black 5.5" LC flat pads and the 5.5" CG hex pads are the two i've used. I found no real difference between the two styles.
