Seems like in detailing there is always a package to open, a bottle to pop the freshness seal, or something needing the blade from a good pocket knive. So what do you carry ??

Been looking at the Magnum line from Boker as offer reasonable pricing and some great looking locked blade knives. So please tell more !

I always have my trusty Swiss Army knife that my mother in law picked up for me when she went to Switzerland. Nothing like having the REAL thing :)

I carry a kershaw Leek and a SOG mini x ray vision I love both knives

I love pocket knifes. I carry a Gerber lock back for everyday. I have some SOG and Kershaw I use for good.

Great post! This little guy is my baby, extremely smooth manual action. It has a tiny ball in the liner lock that is the only contact to the blade as it opens (well besides the hinge of course), very little friction. The "hidden" auto action is the emblem embedded in the grip. It's a hair trigger that requires a very firm press to release. The auto action is very strong for such a small knife. The first time it was actually used for anything was to open a big 'ole box from AG, the blade got a tiny scuff and that was it, back to the shelf. Not like it's that expensive, but I have other knives to "use". :)

A friend of mine is an avid collector of custom knives, many of which are in the $500-$1000 range, he just got one he's been waiting on for 1 1/2 years. It was $850 I think, absolutely stunning knife. I'll post some pics of his collection for you soon.

Killr beware knives are more addicting than detailing supplies. I carry spyderco almost exclusively and over the years have attained traded almost 50 of those little buggers.

I think spyderco offers some of the best blade steels in very ergonomic patterns with great prices.

I would recommend the Caly3 in either G-10 handles or Carbon Fiber handles. Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions on the subject.

I have a Columbia River Knife & Tool (CRKT) M16. Love it I have had many different knifes over the years and i keep on coming back to my CRKT. Also i have a Kershaw and they make a great knife also.

I carry a baby Gerber with a quick open blade. Works great but I have to remember to take it out of my pocket before I go places. It is a great and quite inexpensive knife.

I just have a cheap $4 folding knife that I picked up at Lowe's. Nothing expensive for me, because this knife is quite beat up. Works great for everyday use. I have several smaller knives as well, but my most expensive knives would be my Leatherman knives. Gotta love a Leatherman!

SMKW is a great place to visit. For some reason my wife gets sick when I get inside and we have to leave way to soon. ;)

GERBERS THE BEST!!! i used to be into knifes back in the 80 s ..infact i started with that big ass one wit the compas at the top filled with matches and a bunch of survival crap. i think it had a blood transfusion pack in there if i remember!!!:Dit was like a gi joe knife..or something..

I have a couple Tomahawk knives as well. I have this one:

and this one in the black:

The black one is a survival knife and comes with a little tube in the handle that has matches and a "match strike strip", needle and thread, fishing line and hook, and a compass built into the screw off part of the handle. It also has a knife sharpener with it.

Ah! Thanks for posting, I had to look up that knife. It reminded me of the first quality knife I ever owned (besides the Swiss army knife my Grandpa gave me for my 9th b-day). I bought it from a friend in middle school for like $10, apparently he had no idea what he sold me. Long gone now, as I remember it was similar to Spyderco Endura 4. Now I have to buy one for old time sake. :props:
