Point me in the right direction

Hi there, I hope I put this in the right area.
I have been trying to get an order ready. I want to stay around $350 or less. I have been printing off some of the how to's and reading them at work.

The biggest thing that bothers me about my truck is the black trim. It's an 05 ram and the trim is starting to look more gray than black. I have been using a product called duragloss trim and tire(I think) in an aerosol can. It helps but leaves it oily and runs off in the rain. I have read a lot about Black wow and PB trim restore. I'm leaning towards PB seams like it has better reviews.

The truck looks good I haven't noticed any swirl marks. I do need to touch up a few small scratches. After reading about wax and sealants, I think I need more of a sealant to protect it. It stays outside all the time. Then maybe a wax.
I really like the Griots garage polisher because of the handle setup, but it looks like the PC is the most popular.
Any help is appreciated.

My :dblthumb2: for PB Trim Restorer, that is a nice product and does not streak in the rain. apply let cure a little and buff off...it will look great and it lasts pretty well, a little goes a long way, good stuff.

The PC is the most popular, has the biggest name and the old version was much better than the old Griot's. I really feel now the Griot's has the advantage in power. I have a Griot and it is really amazing. It runs 6.5" pads with ease. That being said after my last project I would opt for the 5.5" pads because they fit in more areas and are easier to work with for a noob like me. If you are doing pickups and vans with large areas then the 6.5" will be faster. Either way my vote is again for the Griot's. I think most will tell you if you opt for the XP stick with the 5.5" pads. Here is a nice starter kit for the Griot's. Griot's Garage Random Orbital Polisher & Pad Kit, Griot's Garage Random Orbital Machine, orbital polishing kit You will want to add some stuff but it's a nice start.

Nice truck, I bet an 05 has swirls but you will really need to look in direct sun to find them, just like on my white truck they are there just very hard to see, silver hides them pretty well.

So far I'm ordering-

The Griots kit with pads
PB trim restore
PB natural (I figured I would try it on the inside)

The sun finally came out so I looked over the cars. The truck does have swirls but I still don't see many. It is hard to tell on that silver. My Mom's van is goldish and I see a few on it. I don't think I need anything to aggressive. I'm not expecting a show truck.
As far as a wax or sealant the PB ex-p sounds pretty good. I don't know why but the Poor Boy stuff caught my eye.:laughing: It's in my price bracket.
