Polish now or wait till spring?

I'm going to wait on the full polish till spring. I have a week off in April, might do it then.

I like the idea of wash and clay the day before then waterless wash the next day just before polishing. Thanks for the suggestion I may try this.



Don't see why not if I start early.

Takes me at least 2 days minimum and that's a quick one. Thats not even including the time you have to wait between wax coats. There is no way you are polishing correctly, Doing 20" x 20" sections 6-8 passes per section?

It takes 1/2 a day at least to decon/wash/clay the car never mind taping off trim, ect ect,, That doesn't leave much for a 1 step polish then a wax. It would be impossible if you had to compound as well.

Also I don't see the point off waiting until the spring? Just get the contamination off and the protection on there. The sooner the better. If you're not dealing with salt in the winter you will be dealing with pollen in the spring/summer. Pollen is probably even worse for causing swirls then the salt.
