Polish on paint protect edge

I'm polishing my dads new (10k miles) kia soul. Its an ugly brown but I'm shining it up pretty nicely. I'm getting 90% of the scratches out. I polished over that plastic protectant that's on the rear doors. Now you can see a white line outlining it. Any chance of cleaning that

I use a plastic scraper wrapped with a microfiber to clean old wax or buildup from it. It works well.
