A guy wants me to polish his camper for him. It's 29 ft and all I have to do is polish it with a 1step polish/wax. He has the polish and buffer, I won't have to wash it or anything. I've never polished a camper before and was wondering how much to charge him? And any kind of advice I should know about polishing a camper?

There is a lot of realestate to cover on a camper of that size. What polish, buffer and pads is the owner providing? What is his expectations when the job is done? Not having seen the camper, I'd probably start my pricing at $10.00 - $14.00 per foot. That is the going rate around here for a single step on an RV.

To add to the above...what is the surface?

Fiber-Glass? Gelcoat? Painted? Metal? Etc, etc.

Great questions!

Campers come in all kinds of forms, do you know how old it is?

Try to get a picture of it and post it to this thread. Cross your fingers that it's just a nice, newer camper that needs to be waxed.

All kinds of forms...

I'm not sure what kind it is. All I know is it's 29 ft and he has a buffer and a one step polish/wax. The guy works with my gfs dad so I told him to tell him $200. He hasn't talked to him yet so I dk if I'm doing it or not.

As long as he is providing you with the buffer and polish - that means he more than likely has the proper polish for the proper surface..... so dont worry much there. It is a very tough job though man so be prepared (just finished one up today - 2 day event with 2 employees..... granted we did a 2 step on a 37 footer.) I would charge the guy $8 a linear foot since you are using his equipment and product...... not a bad deal at all. AND, if he cleans it first - you should be able to knock it out in a day by yourself for sure :dblthumb2:. Goodluck man.
