Polishing a toolbox?

So walking out of my garage and I eye this toolbox laying around, I get the itch.
So I bust out the GG6 and a old pad with some Meg's UC and.....

Wala! It wasnt the clearest results but that is a HUGE difference.
Oh yeah and the pad turn black lol
Now my question, better product for the job, technique, pads?
This could be another add on service for my biz :xyxthumbs:

I used Mothers metal polish on an orange LC pad with my PorterCable 7424XP. It took about 2 hours but it brought it back to an absolute mirror shine. I think it will cut the oxidation better than a compound for paint.

Is it an off the shelf item? I have not done the rest of the toolbox so thinking bout picking up some products and doing a side by side comparison.

I suggest lots of general purpose microfiber towels and a well ventilated area. Metal polishing is MESSY and most polishes and compounds have a strong chemical odor. Even the ones that don't smell so bad initially, start to smell when they start to cut into the metal.

I just got finished polishing my Injen cold air intake and intake manifold. I have more pics, but I'm saving them to show off a project I've been working on...

I tested out more than a handful of metal polishes we carry for some hands on experience. *perks of the job* :buffing:
