Polishing off Bugs

I'm going on a road trip and always end up with a 1000 bugs on the bumper, is it ok to just polish them off?
 
P21S Total Auto Wash and a bug scrubber/sponge will get them off during your next car wash. I would imagine that is the easier way to go.
 
Meghan did a review on the Einzeitt ? Bug Remover and I was damn impressed. Check out the review forum to see the review.
 
1Z Anti-InseKt works great, spray on, let soak in for a few minutes rinse off... And it doesnt remove wax.
 
Everyone get ready to flame..... I dip a Bounce dryer sheet in my wash water and they wipe right off. Really cheap and I can't find it damaging anything. But if you like spending lotso money............







 
Wow !!!! FourMoCajuns is correct. Bounce and your carwash shampoo does easily wipe off the bugs. Who would of thunk? I have read the many different uses of Bounce Dryer sheets & you can definately add this to the list
 
My thoughts? Poorboys Bug Squash will remove them all. When in doubt follow directions. Where I live i use it on an almost daily basis. Long drive? Take it and some MF towels with you. Say Bye Bye to buggy stains.

Since I have to drive over to Browntown next week, how about you wash my Mazda's front bumper to wipe them darn bugs of it. :D j/k

but I am going to Chase next week though.

Poorboys Bug Squash, and the Pinnacle bug sponge work great on even dried on old bug remains...
 
or....just use blue painters tape and mask the front end. this is what i do, or i use saran wrap over the front clip and once i reach my destination i pull it off. everything looks great.

btw, i travel from s.d. to colorado which is almost 900 miles one way. i do this every other month. believe me, the country is full of bugs lol.

Of course you're asking for trouble. This is an auto detailing forum. For all of us recreational detailers, this stuff is an exciting hobby. :righton:

This I understand but when you are trying to keep up the appearance of a vehicle with nearly an acre of painted surface you tend to cheat a little.
I drive an 07 Chevy 2500HD Duramax Crewcab. I also live off a very busy gravel road and use my truck to haul, pull, and tow lots of things. It gets really dirty really fast.







 
Dryer sheets do work on bugs and leaves no marring. Its an old school method just like how people use wd40 for bugs, tar and tree sap. Theres nothing wrong against using it.

It just seems that if a product is marketed for a certain purpose then that is it..... nothing is better.
