At what point is a polishing pad no good/ worn out? I have been using 1 blue pad all the time so far. I clean it and let it dry out before next use.

Also after spending hours cleaning the vehicle. I go to polish it and the dust that comes from the pad just gets into everything especially the wiper cowl. Am I doing something wrong or is there a trick(s) that you all use? I do tape off trim, should I be taping off the wiper cowl? Thank you.

I replace my pads when they start to tatter or look worn and discolored. Usually 5+ uses and likely alot more in them.

If you are seeing dust when first using a pad, not spitting from polish, then you likely did not wash the pad out completely.

You could certainly use a Cali duster on the cowl specifically as wanted to remove any dust.
