Polishing technique

Great information on the use of the new pad with M105 , Thanks for the tip Dana..............

I have some pictures of the process, if I am not to lazy a will put it in show and shine. It has been two days and I am still on the M105 step, the truck hasn't been detailed since 05, just washed weekly.

Dana, may I ask what make of truck it is. Not sure if the type of clear coat matters. I want to start on my 99 ford, red and it has some major oxidation, windows and paint. Just wondering if this is something to really look forward to.

so m105 it is huh?
Looks like it.i'm going to stop on the way home at my bodyshop and pick some m105 up and ultrafina ,Seems that is also a good combo too use . I think you can use the purple/foam/wool pad with the m105 but check first i haven't used mine yet and i'm also waiting to pick up some of those kompressor pads.

Hi there guys,
Can I use the Purple Foam Wool Pad with SIP or it will not make any different from the Orange Pad with SIP?

If the orange pads doesn't cut it yes you can use the wool .Also wool will level the paint more then a pad

ok but it will really be able to remove all the scratches or do I need a more aggressive polish like M105 or Menzerna Power Gloss?

zoom can i use pfw with m105?
Yes you can jamores........

Try the orange pad with SIP, some folks have use the PFW with SIP, but I don't want to waste my time going that route, If needs more punch on removing the swirls then go with a compound and wool.

What type of scratches are we talking about?

not deep scratches since I cant feel them while moving my fingernail. It look like these scratches are deeper than the other since most of the scratches went out with SIP/Orange but again there are a lot of them so I thought using Purple Foam Wool Pad with SIP but now I think I should have bought M105 or Menzerna Power Gloss.

How many passes did you go over it with? Try a orange pad and SIP first, and what machine are you using too? let me know........ok

I did 2 passes with Orange then step down to SIP/White then Nano/Blue.
I am using Flex with 6.5" CCS Pads.
I am going to order a compound but do not know which one to pick up, the M105 or the Menzerna Power Gloss.
