I bought a used 5x10 Haulmark enclosed trailer for my mobile setup. Plans are to have it wrapped. But what about the diamond plate, and what I think is aluminum trim? I want to polish it out before its wrapped. What products do you guys recomend? Powerball> Flitz?

Trailer looks like this

I did a trailer just like that. For the metal I used Optimum Metal Polish and my buffer came out great. I did not polish the out side cause did a test spot and did not have any clear so I clayed it and wax.

Googled it and saw Gary Deans Ferrari demo of it. NICE! What Pad did you use? Same pad for the moldings?

My trailer is covered with old vinyl lettering. The previous owner tried to removes some, and removed the paint/coating with it. Seems like its a vinyl sticker more than paint though. Not 100% on that ...

Anyone try the Wolfgang MetallWerk™ Fine Aluminum Polish?

I used a 4" Griot's red pad on the metal.

I would recommend Marine 31 Finish Cut Metal Restoring Polish. A high-speed rotary polisher equipped with a wool pad will get the job done the fastest. If you only have access to a DA, you can use a Lake Country Hybrid Power Finish Blue Wool Pad.

Marine 31 Finish Cut Metal Restoring Polish is a medium-cut polish designed to restore the brilliance and luster to uncoated aluminum and metal surfaces on your boat. Marine 31 Finish Cut Metal Restoring Polish creates a mirror-like finish that can be seen from a distance. If your boat’s brightwork is dull and oxidized, give it the attention it deserves with Marine 31 Finish Cut Metal Restoring Polish!

I think in Nicks post that is a white foam pad on a rotary.

If you don't have a rotary try the Flitz system, paste and ball. Flitz is a non abrasive metal polish has always worked great for me.
