I can tell you that the beta product RD44 was very glossy and reflective with nice durability and slickness. Supposedly the final incarnation will be a wipe on only type deal, and my hope is for the same look as in testing. If so the Ultima Line could be a nice find especially with polycharger additive already in it for durability.

Opti-seal from Optimum is the other and I am clearly ready for my bottle. Infact, I email Jason weekly for updates. Last I heard labels were done, and product should be out shortly.

Is Optimum a PBMA product as well?

Ok.. I didn't think so, but since I knew Jason worked for AG, and you said he told you they were finishing the labels up, I thought maybe Optimum was a PBMA product as well...

Here is a bit of info on the Opti-Seal.

I'm not sure of the exact price but it will be around the $20 range for 8oz of product. Now before anyone asks me if it will be sold in gallons or 32oz's....No, it won't.

Reason being is that 8oz will cover a large amount of cars....in fact 1 ounce will cover about 6 to 8 cars.

It takes 200 pumps from the sprayer to equal one liquid ounce. I can cover a Porsche with Opti-Seal under 10 pumps. So 8oz will last the average 2 car user a very, very long time.

Now I'm hoping for it to be ready this coming week as I myself am getting low as I only had 4 ounces of product:(

We went through 3 years of development and I have a shelf full of "beta" samples David has sent me through those years. We, David and I, had high points and some low points, but all in all I believe we created a really cool product and while it may not be for everyone it really puts a neat curve in the detailing world. Yes I know Zaino came out with theirs first but I also believe Opti-Seal edges that product out in terms of performance and looks.....but again this area is totally subjective.

Opti-Seal is NOT a copy of Clear-Seal nor is it Optimum's "answer" to Zaino's product. David and I started this (thought wise) back in 2004. Zaino did their thing, Optimum did theirs.

Later,
Anthony

Anthony, I think you will see some very fair assessments here on the product, and only wish David could have considered this forum for beta testers. We all have an affinity for all that is car care, and most/all of us fail to care what the name is on the bottle. If its good, its good. If its bad, then it gets trashed.

I look forward to a product that "looks" better that CS personally, as I believe the average user is going to look for one coat of this or one coat of that. Not 10 coats of this, two coats of that, and then a clear sealer. My hope is David's product is designed to be used standalone with clear benefits in protection and looks !!
