Just got my PwS yesterday i used it on the hood of my car i washed clayed then used PwS with LC white pad. I have light swirls and a few light scratches i worked PwS in at three then bumped it up to 5 to break down until broke down completly. I didnt see any results with removing any swirls or lighten in scratches. Is their a trick to this product or am i expecting to much out of it. I did recieve an awsome deep shine.

Change to a more aggressive pad, the product is pad dependent.

The PwS with a white polishing pad won't cut the swirls. The product doesn't contain any abrasives making it pad dependant. Bump up to an orange light cut pad and try again. A white polishing pad will clean up light micromarring as well as clean the paint really well, leaving a clean and slick surface.

ditto, i use the green edge pad with the PC and the orange pad with the rotary usually.

Cool ill bump it up to the orange and see what kind of results i get. Also i got alot of dusting with the product is that usual or is my pad just not cleaned good enough.

how much product are you using? Are you trying to do a large car with one pad? It sounds like either product build up or you are buffing too long. Are you out of the sun? There are a bunch of variables that lead to dusting.

The most important part is the pad what pad did you use?

I'm guessing that the pad wasn't cleaned.... what did you use it with before and how did you clean it? I found it impossible to get PwS to dust... even with a rotary.

:iagree: :iagree: switch to on orange pad, and work it the same way, then when polish is almost broken down - use the weight of the machine - no pressure at all. This will give you LSP ready finish.

Ya i washed and clayed before applying PwS and used and LC white pad that was just cleaned. but i worked it in like i would a normal polish until it was broken down.

There isn't anything in PwS that needs to be broken down. You could essentially make 1 pass and be done with it, which you would be using the sealant property of it. If you work the product in more, you are letting the pad cut through the paint with the product lubricating the pad while it cleans the paint along with leaving the sealant. If you don't use a lot of the product you may be dry buffing the paint and with PwS it could be hard to tell if you are doing so being how clear it is. I like to go around the whole car with PwS then come back after 30-40 mins before removing to allow the sealant properties to bond to the paint.
