I just sold all of my Edge 2K pads, and recently started buying LC pads.
I have a few pads of each, but I need more.....
I figured I'd go through my stuff and sell what I do not use. Then use the $ to buy more pads from AG.

PwC (blue)- 3/4 Full
PwC (white)-
Just a hair less than 3/4 full
SSR1-
Half Full
SSR2-
Half full
SSR2.5-
about gone. (enough for me to get 1 1/2-2 cars done)
EX Sealant- FULL to the top
EX-P Sealant- Little more than half full
PB.jpg

All are in 16oz. bottles
Asking $45 shipped on another forum.
I do not need any more products, just pads

That's odd, everyone I know who used the Edges doesn't bother with their backing plate type pads anymore, friends are actually the ones who turned me onto them. Both had a large LC collection they sold.

Good luck with the sale, seems like a good price for all that.

YOu don't use Poorboy's line? You don't like it? So far I haven't been dissapointed with any of their products.

I did use PB's when I first started. I like PB's, don't get me wrong...

Since I started growing, I have been needing more product. Bigger amounts. I know that PB's has gallon sizes, but shipping would be too much.
I switched to a local supplier, Car Brite, and get the same results, some better, than PB's. I can buy gallon jugs at little over the price of 16oz. of PB's bottles, and not have to worry about shipping. I am in the business mind set. If I can get the same results, cheaper, and locally, then I go with the lesser. I make a living doing this, so I try to keep costs down.
I am however, keeping my PwS....lol
I love that stuff.

Still don't understand why you switched away from the Edge200 system. If there was a problem and we did not fix it I would like to know about it.

Aaron,

Not saying there is a direct problem with the pads. Would I use them again? Yes. On my personal vehicles. The 2 orange pads I sent back a while ago, came apart. Was it due to pad costruction or product overloading? I do not know. I was hoping to get some feedback on the pads I sent back to you. If it were my fault or not.

I still use the Edge pads on my Rotary, and they are great. No problems at all.
Customer service is still awesome, and I will continue to purchase Edge pads, just not the 2k pads for business use. I know Justin hasn't had a problem with them. Maybe it was just me?????????

I thought we replaced those pads, and I never heard that you had problems with them again. If so we would have looked into it again and found out why because we are not having that problem. We just hate to lose customers and espeically if its a fixable problem.

Want to gain a customer? Tell me why yours are better. I am new to this and have only used LC and I have no complaints. I do not get it. I am not sure I could even figure out how to fasten yours to the pc.

Any thoughts, because I am always up for trying something new, altho I am not buying anymore stuff right now. After Christmas sux...

Thanks,
Lauren:)

SURE! That’s EASY!
Edge2000 pads use an adapter that permanently takes the place of the Velcro backing plate. The adapter eliminates the bulky backing plate that is also a hazard as many people have found when they hit the plate against the paint under mirrors, door handles and the like, or when the plate finally fails and the pad flies off and you then grind the plate into the paint. The adapter is guaranteed for life. The only thing we will guarantee about the plate is that it will wear out, break, and you will buy another. The adapter easily screws onto most buffing machines, including all rotary high speeds (rotary adapter 5/8in) Most DA's Porter Cable, and air (DA adapter 5/16male) and Cyclo polishers (DA adapter 5/16male) Just remove the backing plate, and screw the adapter in once. Now the pads have a hex opening in the center of the pad, pads are double sided. Just take the pad and push it onto the adapter and SNAP the pad is attached and instantly centered. You may think that centering is not important on the PC's but that could not be further from the truth. The DA machines oscillate which means they spin and rotate off center, but around a center position. That is why the machine has a counter balance built in that turns around the center. If the pad is not centered you have nullified the purpose of that counter balance and the machine will vibrate excessively causing extra wear and tear on the machine and operator. The Edge2000 Pads are always centered and reduce time attaching the pads, and machine vibration! You would think that this major technological advance would be expensive, but just the opposite. One double sided pad which is TWO pads, costs less than two of the single sided Velcro non centering pads, and the adapter is comparable in cost to a backing plate except it is guaranteed for LIFE. There are many more great features that would take a lot of time to write out but when really comparing system Edge2000 is an obvious advantage.

Thank you very much! I will be trying them once my pads from now are done. You are right in that there seems to be a lot of benefits.
I do already know that the pad needs to be centered on the pc. That would be nice not to have to fuss with it.
AG's video - or one of them I saw someplace here when I was really new - showed the pc using the LC pads so I just copied because I knew what to get by copying. Now that I know a little more, it is different.
WHat is the value of the wave then, may I ask you?
Thank you for your time!

I understand.
The pads were replaced. And it was appreciated. Then I had another go bad. That would make 3 pads.

You are not losing a customer, I just am not using the 2k pads, but using your classic 8 inch pads. :)

Tex, I think I have a couple of unused LC Pads if you want to buy them. I'd trade, but I have all the PB stuff I need right now.

Of course, wave pads have 3 mail benefits but they are most pronounced on rotary pads. First is less heat because of reduced surface area friction. This is related to why the pads are easier to control, because of less surface area friction and less pad grabbing the surface. and 3 they reduce splatter because the chemical gets caught in the bumps instead of just being spun out.

ok, but could you send back the other bad one so we could analyze it and find out what is happeneing to you. That way we can get to the bottom of the problem, fix it for you, improve the product if needed, and keep you on a much better system than Velcro. What do you say?

I threw the pad out a few weeks back at a customers home. It did the same thing as the other Orange pads did though. Did you look at the other pads I sent you? What did it look like to you?

Sorry, that was a while ago and I don't really remember. Why not let me send you out some from our latest batch and new adapters and see how that works out.
