Ive tried everything!

The one that came with it just stopped working after the first time,
Even the home depot chemical ones quit after like one use!

What the hell is going on?!?! :(

I too learned quite quickly to remove the sprayer when not in use.

that happened to me too, I couldnt get it to spray at all after two attempts.

Thats one reason why I dont use that stuff. PB spray and rinse is a very strong wheel cleaner, it is acidic, so you will need a heavy duty chemical resistant sprayer. The ones at homedepot should be strong enough if they are indeed chemical resistant.

I have some stuff that I thought was very acidic, its purple and says "Wheel Brightener", came in a gallon, thats what the guy at my dealership used to use. I have since learned better, and know that it is very strong, but I still use it very diluted to clean my stock wheels, as I plan on replacing them soon anyway and it doesnt seem to harm them.

back on topic... at one point I had this stuff in a regular home depot type spray bttle, and it was fine. I had it in there 100% for awhile, and for a long time diluted, same spray bottle still goin strong...

I have the same stuff, meguiar's wheel brightener, and it makes the sprayers stop working every few weeks. If I disconnect the hose and pump the sprayer a few times, and then reattach it the sprayer starts working again. I have no idea why, but it starts working.

The reason why all of these sprayers are failing is because all of these wheel cleaners are strong cleaners which contain acids, they begin to dissolve the plastic in the sprayer, which makes it not work.

Yep, same thing happened to me. My PB is gone now and Ive switched to something else!

I have the same proble too now :(

Spray and rinse already comes with chemical resistant sprayer (grey), but it still does not hold up well enough to this strong acid...:(

just so we are clear ... PB Spray/Rinse is Citric Acid based and yes quite strong, but nowhere near as strong as most store bought wheel cleaners carrying Hydrocloric Acid as their base.

Organic acids
Citric acid, found in citrus fruits has a pH of 2.0

Oxalic acid, found in spinach has a pH of 1.8

Weak’ mineral acids
Phosphoric acid has pH of 2.2
Hydrofluoric acid has a pH of 3.14

Strong’ mineral acids
Sulphuric acid, battery acid, has a pH of .32 @ 1N (indicates concentration)
Hydrochloric acid, aka Muriatic acid has a pH of 0.1 @ 1N

Use a heavy duty chemical resistant sprayer and you should be fine(steal one from a friend who still uses the otc stuff next time you're at their house....hehe;).

Also, soak a malfunctioning sprayer in a bucket or sink of HOT water to restore to brand new. I've done this many times with success.:D Give me an update on whether it worked or not.

exactly which makes it wierd that it would break the sprayers, when my extra harsh stuff has been fine in the same cheapo spray bottle for months.

Your best bet would be to contact Poorboys and find out exactly what's in it and let Steve know what's happening. Maybe they need to change something----the sprayer precisely;)

Hmm, that's weird. Never had any sprayer problem with OTC bought wheel cleaners...

This is why it is recommended to remove and rinse all sprayers when not in use. If not, the chemicals may start to degrade or clog the sprayers.

That's pretty scary! No thanks on this product, I'm sticking to P21S Wheel Gel baby!

I had that problem too with a regular sprayer, I switched to the foamer and hoping it will last a lot longer. The sprayers are too cheap for me to switch them out everytime I use it. BTW, if u dont have a foamer sprayer for your wheel cleaners you are MISSING OUT!

I also have a problem with my sprayers getting clogged when I use CG ONE.

Companys like Meguiars for example use some pretty strong acids. I use to use their all wheel cleaner, it smelled like a mixture of bleach and hydrocloric acid(I have some hydroclorhic acid, i know how the stuff smells). It was very unplesant to use, and the fine mist would often get inhaled, thats no fun. The sprayers that megs uses are no doubt chemical reistant, I never had a problem with the sprayer clogging so it must be made of some heavy duty stuff. I am not sure how much stronger PB S&R is, but if all else fails try to get an empty bottle of that megs cleaner.

I also never had a problem with Meguiar's sprayer clogging up. Perhaps I'll just buy a bottle of their all wheel cleaner, use it up and then fill it with Poorboy's Spray and Rinse, or just use theit sprayer...

I was just going to order the Poorboys and have a question, Can it be used on the tires also? Looking for 1 product that I could use for both tires and wheels.
