I've got marring on my metallic black Audi paint from the Poorboys World Deluxe Mega Towel And my Microfiber MAX Supreme Drying Towel . I wash the towels with Cobra Micro-Restore Concentrate and some citric acid to reduce calcium. After washing is goes in the tumbledryer. Is the paint of the Audi soft ?
ps The Audi had never a respray

Why do you think it was the towel? Are the scratches uniformed and in a specific direction, do they follow your wiping path, etc?

Do you have a pic by chance? Most of the time it is a persons technique that causes these things....not always but mostly. I am not trying to blame "you" for it, just trying to figure it out. If it's your technique we can help that because if it is your technique, it will happen with any towel.

Do you fold your towel or bunch it up in a ball?

Again not trying to sound like a butthead or anything, just wanna help.

Not sure on the Audi paint hardness, never worked on one so I can't comment on that.

could some dirt or contaminent during the washing stage contributed to it versus drying ??

I work with a fold towel and drag it over the paint. Even after polishing to wipe of the residue i use a fold towel and enough ipa 1:1. I had to be clear that when i use a fluffer , like the Carrand Microfiber MAX Soft Touch Detailing Towel then theres no marring present. Even the Poorboy's is soft enough. The marring is line with the movement of the towel.

Hmmm, could be the paint is really soft. Anyone have experience with Audi paint that can comment?

When did you notice the scratching/marring? While removing buffing/polish residue or while drying after a wash?

Today , it started first after drying so i've got frustrated.
