Confused about which product to use. Either Poorboys SSR2 swirl remover or M105/205. Are they about equal in strength or is one more agressive? I have a black 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander. It does not seem to be too swirled up. I don't know if I should go more agressive. I have a Flex and a PC with all the pads from Lake Country.

There is an almost cult following for Poorboys products. I used some when I first started detailing, but I didn't find their polishes to be all that great compared to other lines like Menzerna and Meguiars. That's not to say PB polishes don't work, I just think some other work better.

If you're only working on your own car you really can't go wrong with the M105/M205 combo. Very rarely M205 will not finish down perfectly on dark colored vehicles, so you may want to also invest in a true finishing polish like Menzerna PO85rd.

Autogeek created a pretty handy, dandy compound/polish chart to compare the abrasiveness of various products:

With that said, I used PB's SSR-series extensively a few years ago. They have a decent working time and I got the results I wanted. However, they tend to dust quite a bit.

I would stick with the Megs products over the PB.

poorboy waterless wipe is by far the best on the market for that product, but I dont know much about their polishes, glazes, ect.
