Porsche GT4RS

THAT is how you spec a special car!

I was never a Porche guy until the last few years, in particular those high revving naturally aspirated 3.8 and 4.0 GT3 and GT4 cars. Given the choice, I'd go with for the GT4, purely for that metallic rasp over the last 1000 rpm. Kinda wish they would do a GT4 Touring without all the wings, that would be motoring perfection.

Woo I like that color.. I've never been a Porsche guy, what car is that? A 718 Cayman?

It's based on 718 Cayman/Boxter. The Cayman is tagged GT4 RS, the Boxter is called the Spider.

The GT4 used a naturally aspirated version of the 911's 3.0 turbo flat 6, but was taken out to 4.0 capacity. These revved to about 8000 rpm but lacked the hard edge of the 4.0 engine used in the 911 GT3 and GT3 RS.

Porsche then went all out for the GT4 RS, swapping to the 911's 4.0 naturally aspirated flat 6 that would rev out to 9000 rpm. Because of the different intake and exhaust setup required for the mid engine layout, the GT4 RS sounds even more manic than the fabled rear engined GT3 and GT3 RS. The last 1000 rpm in particular is unique, the engine taking on a very hard-edged metallic rasp. For that reason, I'd take the GT4 RS over a GT3.

I was never really into Porche's but as most performance cars have a turbo now, I love how these naturally aspirated GT3/GT4 cars buck that trend.

On color, Ford recently added a color called Mystic Magenta to the Mustang lineup. I love adventurous colors, and this one would be so rewarding to polish and maintain.

I posted the above images on another forum, to which some d.ck said "Are Ford trying to get more women to buy Mustangs?"...................as if it were in 1978 and still bound by gender-specific norms like pink for girls and blue for boys. Then someone posted.......................... "always found it funny how some males appear as though their masculinity is threatened by colour. Life is colour. In ancient times, pink was the boys colour, blue was for girls." The d.ck then backed up his argument with a cheap shot directed at me......................... "It probably needs a fancy, over priced number plate holder to make it look better. Yeah, that should do it........"

Long story short, when I see an interesting color on a car, I'm not making assumptions about the person behind the wheel. But I do respect the person for being different.
