You can actually turn the machine off for months and the next time you use it it’ll still be set to whatever psi you last set it to. That sounds pretty handy. Mine will hold the value as long as it isn't unplugged or turned off. I don't find this a big deal because I'm constantly setting it to different pressures. Each of the cars in our household all run different PSI's and even my car runs different PSI's due to what I'm doing with it and which set of wheels/tires it's running.
