I have one on the way. I hope it works for me.

I kind of hate mine so far, don't mean to burst your bubble! Lol

I have several Brinkmann's (5)...I like them but they don't seem to last long before the battery stops holding a good charge. Now I just cycle them out when working on a car. I also use the Fenix TH15 and it's always a good idea to check your work with more than one type of light. :props:

That doesn't sound like a great endorsement, what's the issue?
I made my own 'sungun' using an old Black&Decker drill and a Cree 6 led 12volt bulb.

I read a writeup on that once, I don't know if it was yours but it was pretty clever lol
As for the brinkmann I don't find it shows defects well.. Which is its purpose, it's a decent piece but it doesn't get the job done like I wanted it to

Not my writeup, used the idea since I had a 12v battery drill laying around, rebuilt the battery pack with 10, 2200mah sub-c cells. Upgraded to 18v Milwaukee system.

How much did it end up costing you? And you should make a write up!

If you don't mind it having a cord Husky has a fairly small 800 Lumen LED light that for me is small enough pick up and check work. I had the same issue with the Brinkman...it didn't really show much. This Husky light will show you EVERYTHING. It came from home Depot. I think they sell a tripod for it if you wanted to use it for both.

2200mah sub c batteries, $40 for 24 (popular auction site) $13 12v LED bulb, old Black&Decker 12v drill. Will post pics later today of how it looks and what it shows on the surface.
