Porter Cable 7424 VS Craftsman 10IN

one of these random orbitals u can get locally from say 5-10" is good enough to apply a wax , that's about it. I'd say it lack the power for any type of correction work. 10". is just too big . most here like 5.5 " pads
 
Well after the last comment I think thats all I needed to pull the trigger. Went ahead and ordered a Porter 7424
 
yea those are not even the same tools..that craftsman would do NOTHING in terms of correction. all it can do is apply wax and remove wax..its like comparing a Sawzall to a butter knife..good thing you picked the PC over it
 
Already have the Craftsman. Got it for Christmas as a gift. I want to shine up my Ranger so I went ahead and bought it.

It's nice to see someone asking these types of questions, and then taking the advice of others. All too often in forums, I see someone ask for advice, but when solid answers are provided, the OP is hell bent on dismissing those suggestions.

Good call on picking up the PC7424XP!! It's a great tool and you'll wonder what you ever did without it!
