Porter Cable 7424XP and vibration on setting 6

Correct. I may have given the wrong impression of what happened. A picture is worth a thousand words.......how true.

Sorry, I was under the impression that the foam pad is what flew off. When you said "the Lake Country pad just flew off the machine", I thought the foam pad is what flew off.

Carry on sir :xyxthumbs:

To Mike Phillips, no I didn't buy the pad that broke from Autogeek, but I did purchase new ones form you. They are the improved ones. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for all the replies. Since I'm new to using this machine, it's nice to know that my experience has happened to others and it does not seem to be a malfunction with the machine. I'll definitley be reading through the forums for tips.

This is confusing, is it the pad or the backing plate?

It was the backing plate. I posted a picture in this thread showing the break.

I see the pic. but then the post also said the pad broke, i thought you had a problem with both.

Thanks for clearing it up, i just ordered some LC pads and wanted to make sure there weren't any problems with them
