I recieved my first PC 7424 about a month ago.

It seemed to have working issues. it only have speeds one and 6, and was workign very irratically. It got so hot it started smoking after five minutes of attempted use.

I called AutoGeek and they replaced it. They said they never had issues with the PC.

The second one did the same thing within five minutes.

I used it at home, as well as in two different outlets at work with all the same results. It too started smoking with only 1 and 6.

AutoGeek has an expert that tested it. He called me directly and said nothing was wrong with the device, that they would refund my purchase price, or send the unit back to me, not send me a third new one.

I do not understand what is going on with the PC.

The outlets are all commonly used for my shop vac, and Makita High speed with no issues. I also use lights and radios... there has never been an electrical issue at my home, or work.

What should I do? I am sure the PC will malfunction again...

Check your extension cord. My PC used to get really hot.

Definetly check your extension cord, make sure it is a good quality gauge cord and about only 50 to 75 feet long. A cheap gauge cord or a cord to long will make your PC get hot fast.

The extension cords I have are usually fine. I hav actually used an air compressor with it before.

Is that in America? Lol ( Sorry Im from Australia I dont know )

Reason im asking is because maybe your power is too strong for the machine and i'ts burning it each time you use it

In America

All i know is if it does not work this time I am sending it back and getting the Ultimate instead.

Whatever you use PC or Ultimate polisher if you have electrical problems they won't go away because of a different unit. Maybe one of your friends has an electrical meter and you can check the voltage coming out of the plug, should read somewhere between 114volts to 125 volts. If your plug reads okay, then check the end of the cord as its plugged in. Good luck.
