The Porter Cable 7424XP WolfGang duo were phenomenal and the results were excellent! But I noticed this morning when I was inspecting my work, they were little prints of the pits of the orange pads or black pads I used. Does anyone know what might have caused this? And its only on the hood.Feed back please
 
What may have happened is you held the pad too long in one spot without it rotating leaving marks from the dimples in visible on the finish...
 
Should I go back over the area with the swirl remover to remove the dimples?

This is exactly how you would remove them! :props:

Set the speed between 4 and 5, keep the polisher moving between 1/2" and 1" per second. This allows the process to work the finish removing defects and not adding any...

I like the Lake Country 5 1/2" flat pads because they allow the polisher to work easier and a flat pad having no texture to it won't leave marks.:props:

Also mark the backing plate so you can see if it's rotating. Adjust the pressure to make sure the pad is rotating.

Once Again Spot on Advice From BobbyG. I like the flat pads or the Low profile Hydro Tech pads. give them a try you will like them a lot better than the CCS pads.:xyxthumbs:

this is spot on as well, it's very important to keep your pad rotating, my suspicion is at times it wasn't and that is what caused the spots. :buffing:
